Ten Years of Loving Geto Suguru

At seventeen, Dong Lixiang loved three things most: Fireworks. Summer. Geto Suguru. Every summer, at the fireworks festival, she worked up the courage to confess to Geto Suguru, whom she'd had a crush on for a long time. But every year, she lost her nerve before she could do it. Then, something unexpected happened that year. Geto Suguru took her hand of his own accord. At the fireworks festival, he set a lantern afloat. Dong Lixiang asked what he had written on it. He smiled at her. "I hope I can come here with you again next summer." * In his tenth year as the leader of the Star Religious Group, Geto Suguru began to have the same dream over and over. Every day, he dreamed he had returned to the year before he defected. The childhood friend he'd killed with his own hands ten years ago followed awkwardly behind him. Whenever he turned around, she hurriedly pretended to watch the fireworks, unaware that the tension in the fingers holding her candy apple gave away her feelings. It was the height of midsummer. The fireworks blazed, and everything was perfectly, beautifully complete. She released her lantern and smiled at him, eyes curved. "I wrote the same thing." At that moment, he finally understood the feelings he'd failed to recognize when he was young. The most passionate thing in the world was her love for him, and yet it was also a curse. - Have you ever loved someone for ten whole years? And that person waited ten whole years just to see you once. *I want to write a route where Geto Suguru kills the heroine, but not for the sake of attaining enlightenment through killing his wife. Something else happened at the time. *I'm not sure whether the ending will be HE or BE, but it's most likely BE. [If that bothers you, read with caution!!!] *Once I start posting, I'll follow the story as it develops. I won't make it tragic just for angst, or force a happy ending just to sweeten things up. Everything will follow the course that feels right, though I'll take readers' comments into account. *Geto Suguru belongs in summer: more passionate than spring, gentler than autumn, and more like hope and rebirth than winter.
