[Next book available for preorder] Aria of Guns and Roses (Vampires)
Standard spoiler version
Vampire hunter Mu Xin falls in love with Lan Luo, a vampire prince. They dance together, practice magic, share cake, go to concerts... Their romance goes incredibly smoothly. Mu Xin feels unbelievably lucky. She, who never had much confidence in herself, can have love after all. Just when Mu Xin thinks she and the one she loves can live happily together, a struggle for power between their races erupts once more, and Lan Luo dies protecting her.
Heartbroken, Mu Xin wants to change everything and bring her beloved back to life. A witch tells her there is only one way: make Lan Luo fall in love with her again.
Mu Xin is confident: Is that all? But when she returns to the past, she discovers that getting Lan Luo to fall for her is no easy task. She comes up with a special "Plan to Win Lan Luo Over," determined to capture his heart. She bakes a cake for him herself, but Lan Luo says, "Thanks, but I don't like sweets." She offers to teach him magic, and he immediately casts a high-level healing spell. She asks him to teach her to dance, but Lan Luo says, "I can't dance." She invites him to a show at the theater, but Lan Luo says, "I'm busy." Mu Xin: "I haven't even told you what day it is..."
In short, the Plan to Win Lan Luo Over fails spectacularly. The reason: her target is far too chaste. Another possibility is that Lan Luo simply doesn't like her.
Downhearted, Mu Xin wants to give up, never realizing that Lan Luo has already fallen in love with her in the time she doesn't know about...
Silly version
Mu Xin is "the unluckiest person alive": she hides in the final boss's room to avoid weak monsters, goes to an auction only to find she doesn't have enough money, gets sneered at while quietly watching the commotion, is told to do a mission at a school but isn't allowed to enroll, gets knocked out and kidnapped while walking down the street, helps someone only to be pushed forward as a scapegoat, sees her favorite singer run away, and finally falls in love with someone who then dies.
What, you want to know why I put that in quotation marks?
Because that's not entirely true. For example, after Mu Xin is kidnapped, she becomes a pirate (not really).
And that's not the only ridiculous thing. For instance:
(1)
Questioner: What is it like to be forced to watch a romantic fan film about a couple with someone else?
Top-voted answer (Mu Xin): Thanks for asking. It's sweet, but it could kill me (from embarrassment).
(2)
Someone asks Mu Xin, "Do you believe in God?"
Mu Xin: "I'm a Communist Party member. I'm not allowed to believe in religion."
(3)
Client A: "I want to take my beloved B home."
Client B: "Kill A."
Mu Xin, having accepted both jobs: ?
(4)
When Mu Xin, disguised as a believer, meets an evil god disguised as the God of Light.
On the surface:
Mu Xin (with tears in her eyes): "Lord God of Light, you are my god!"
Evil god (calmly): "I will accept your faith and grant your wish."
In reality:
Mu Xin: Fake God of Light.
Evil god: Fake believer.
Mu Xin: Actually, I have multiple identities. Depending on the mission, I draw the corresponding identity card. I'm both a noblewoman of high society and a poor, insecure student at a seminary. I'm a bidder and a radio host. I'm a kidnapped girl and a pirate, a vampire hunter and a vampire bride.
Lan Luo is "the unluckiest person alive," too. In the scene he fears most, he only wants to get close to Mu Xin, but his beloved shoots him ten times.
As he falls against her, he says, "So it takes ten bullets' distance to get close to you."
Reading Guide:
(1) A Western fantasy setting. Vampires, werewolves, elves, dragons, dwarves, demons, gods, and other races will appear from time to time. The thirteen vampire clans are inspired by the Bible. Other details are original to this story.
(2) About the heroine: She is a materialist. She has a fearful-avoidant attachment style, longing for love while also being afraid of it. After meeting the hero, she gradually overcomes her fear and learns to love bravely.
(3) One-on-one romance, happy ending.
Main couple: A vampire prince who's good at flirting but can't handle being flirted with × a clever and courageous vampire hunter
Side couples: Dragon × princess (ambition and promises)
Human × elf (love and freedom)
Literary version, tied to the title
A gun is what a hunter uses to kill vampires.
A rose is what a vampire gives to his bride.
01
What price would you pay for a face that never ages and a life without end?
Would you be willing to sleep in a coffin?
Would you be willing to live on blood?
Would you be willing to wander forever through the dark, never seeing the light of day?
Then I grant you eternal life.
02
(Heroine's perspective)
Mu Xin is a vampire hunter who specializes in hunting vampires that prey on humans. While on a mission, she has an "encounter" with a man. His family is noble, his looks breathtaking, his manners elegant... He is practically Mu Xin's ideal type.
Unfortunately, he's a vampire.
03
(Hero's perspective)
Before I met you, I had always been dead.
But then you appeared before me, bringing dazzling sunlight and a gentle breeze, arriving unexpectedly...
Only then did I understand that my heart had never truly died. It was merely sleeping, waiting and waiting for someone to awaken it.
Are unrivaled beauty and eternal life gifts from heaven, or curses?
Was that dreamlike, beautiful encounter with him mere coincidence, or fate?...
If even a long life must eventually end, I would give you a rose that will never wither.
About This Story
There's no one Wang Shian can't handle.
Except Chen Moqun.
Theme: Love your country and never forget its history of humiliation.
I beg the author, can you please write a fanfic about Wang Shian?
After many days, I came to see it again and cried again. I really can't forgive Lin's betrayal, starting from the radio incident. Chen is my white moonlight cinnabar mole. Dear author, please write another article? Please comfort my little heart.
It's quite interesting, but the number of words is too short. Come on
