Love in a Fallen City

My own life stalled for a while, and this story was left unfinished for several years. I want to thank and apologize to the readers who kept waiting for me.

The former title, "Clouds and Smoke Turn to Rain," reflected how I felt when I first began writing. After finally finishing the story, I realized how much Eileen Chang's "Love in a Fallen City" had influenced it.

This story is also Liu Mi's own "Love in a Fallen City."

------Original Blurb------

Twenty-five years of childhood sweethearts gradually drifting apart. Thanks for the favor of not marrying me.

The characters and plot are entirely fictional.

Coming next: Modern romance with a Hong Kong feel, "Goodnight, Victoria"

A pure-hearted young master who's black on the inside but white on the outside x a resilient young actress who's white on the outside but black on the inside

A mix of instinctive attraction and spiritual connection

My other completed childhood-sweetheart novels are "Chang Gan Xing" and "The Right Way to Be the Ming Dynasty's First Favorite Consort." Both are historical romances: the first is bittersweet, the second sweet. Come give them a read!

Theme: Don't let those fleeting moments defeat you.
