I Only Realized My Husband Followed the Heartless Path After Killing Myself to Prove the Dao

I, Ye Qingxian, am the youngest disciple of the Kunlun Sect's headmaster. I cultivate the White Jade Capital Dao, also known as the ruthless path, where one must kill one's wife to prove the Dao.

So even though I am devastatingly handsome, no one has ever wanted to marry me. But I don't need a wife anyway. I'm a woman, so I can't exactly kill one to prove my Dao...

To overcome my tribulation, I went to the mortal realm and found a hapless man to marry, planning to kill my husband to prove the Dao. But in the end, I couldn't bring myself to do it.

If I killed him, I'd miss him. If I didn't, I'd die.

As I agonized over what to do, a sudden thought struck me. There are ways to prove the Dao by killing one's wife, husband, master, and so on. Could I prove the Dao by killing myself instead?

I put the idea into action. When I heard that my husband had died, I promptly slit my throat, successfully proved my Dao, and returned to Kunlun.

The Great Dao is lonely, so from now on, I'll have to walk it alone. Or so I thought.

Then one day, I saw the notorious fiend wearing the jade pendant I'd given my husband, and I was stunned.

Me: ...Master, help!

(The main story is told in third person.)

P.S. The author has added some original settings to the ruthless Dao.

The male lead flirts with the female lead.

The male lead is stronger than the female lead, and his power is at the absolute pinnacle.

The male lead is from the generation of the ancient patriarchs, and is a contemporary of the Kunlun Sect's leader.

The male lead really is the biggest villain.

This is just a sweet little romance.

A heroine who has a wife in one hand and a husband in the other x a male lead who was once a tyrant in chaotic times and is now obsessed with romance and causing trouble
