After Being Reborn, I Was Matched with the Emperor

Shi Xing, a rare Blue Star person with healing abilities and the Empire's treasure, died. He died in the third year after losing his powers, the second year after his childhood friend and husband was forced to announce their divorce, and on the heartbreak-filled day he heard his childhood friend had remarried, refused to believe it, and ran out in the bitter winter snow to watch the lavish wedding. Shi Xing fell into the snow. Just before his eyes lost focus, he vaguely saw a glistening snowflake land in his eye. In the blink of an eye, Shi Xing was alive again, reborn before reaching maturity, back at the matchmaking banquet. This time, he walked right past his childhood friend, who was looking for him, and stood before the tall man the mainframe had matched him with based on his abilities. He asked nervously, “Hello. Would you be willing to be matched with me?” The man's expression was hidden behind a mask. His long silence made Shi Xing uneasy, so he held up two finger joints as an example and said, “I'm easy to support. I only need a little crystal.” Seeing the man silently stare at his fingers, Shi Xing reluctantly folded one finger down. “Then... just a tiny bit?” * Everyone knows that Blue Star people eat crystals worth a fortune, and are also physically frail and incredibly difficult to keep alive. The Empire's ruler, Chi Yao, is invincible in battle and has an SSS-rated ability. He attends the matchmaking banquet every year, but has yet to choose any Blue Star person as his partner. At the final banquet before doctors declare that the ruler's mental episodes can no longer be suppressed with medicine, and the Council of Elders decides to force a match, Chi Yao takes a Blue Star person home. * Death and rebirth have always been two sides of the same coin. According to legend, powerful Blue Star people don't just have healing abilities, but can also wield the power of devouring. During a sudden attack on the border, the ruler and his personal guards are surrounded by a vast number of star beasts and lose contact with the reinforcements. When all hope seems lost, the ruler's Blue Star partner displays the power of devouring and single-handedly wipes out every high-ranking star beast. When the news reaches the Empire, its people go wild. And when his childhood friend, who has been searching desperately for Shi Xing ever since the banquet, sees that familiar figure in the report, his eyes turn bloodshot. (Divider) 1.
