After the Proud Dragon Hero Was Bound to a Love-Brained System

When Xin Yue woke up, she discovered that she was living inside a novel. Her plastic husband, Fu Yining, whom she’d had a crush on for years, was the overpowered male lead of the novel. Not only did he fail to fall for her, he also exposed her as a fake heiress and got engaged to the real one again. Xin Yue: Shouldn’t I make a run for it? Just then, the System reminded her: But you still have a romance-brained System. If you don’t complete its tasks, you’ll be punished... Xin Yue: “No one wants a romance brain. Even zombies won’t eat it. It’s perfect for my husband. Give it to him.” The System, which only wanted to complete its tasks: That works. The trailer for the romance variety show Romantic Promise went viral as soon as it aired. On camera, the wealthy husband of a notorious female star said, “Stay away from me.” Netizens happily clicked on the first episode, ready to laugh at Xin Yue, but instead they saw... [Episode 1] During a heart-rate test, Fu Yining claimed it was boring, but the moment he and Xin Yue made eye contact, his heart rate shot up to 200. [Episode 2] Xin Yue chatted happily with a new guest. Fu Yining said he didn’t care, but beneath the table, his fists were clenched. [Episode 3] While making breakfast, Xin Yue served her husband a plate of fried eggs burned black. Fu Yining ate every last bite with graceful composure, the corners of his eyes seemingly glistening with tears of emotion. “This is the first time I’ve ever eaten something you made.” What... Is President Fu a tsundere? He says he hates her, but his body tells the truth. Oh my god, I’m obsessed! Fu Yining had been terribly wronged: His heart raced because he’d failed to complete a System task and nearly died of a heart attack; His fists were shaking because he was enduring the System’s electric shock punishment; And as for the tears, they were a physical reaction to nearly being poisoned after eating Xin Yue’s bizarre cooking :) ** As the romance show neared its finale, shocking news suddenly broke online: Xin Yue wasn’t the biological daughter of the Xin family. The real heiress was someone else, and she had been found. Netizens speculated that Fu Yining might dump the fake heiress for the sake of his own interests and divorce Xin Yue. Even Xin Yue thought so. Just as she was about to talk it over with Fu Yining, he posted on social media himself: “Xin Yue is my wife. She was, she is, and she always will be.” Xin Yue frowned. “Your System still hasn’t been removed?” Fu Yining paused. “This has nothing to do with the System. It’s what I want.” Xin Yue: ??? Oh no, the System had a major bug! Theme: Recognize yourself.
