Is Something Wrong with Being a Secret Agent in the Detective Conan World?

Female lead: Hehe, a bottle of genuine fake booze.

Rye: Tsk. British people.

Female lead: Wow, there's an American speaking here.

Bourbon: FBI! Get out of my Japan! The British too!

Female lead: Hey, don't lump me in with the FBI. I'm a diplomat, and I entered the country legally.

Scotch: Zero...

Gin: Hmph. Another rat.

I'm hopeless at writing blurbs. The story itself is serious in tone (probably).

Announcements in the blurb take precedence over the author's notes.

This story is open for preorders. There's no set date for when it will begin. The chapters posted are sample chapters.

This is a rewritten version of my previous crossover fanfic. Too many works had been mixed together before, making it a mess, so the entire story has been extensively revised.

I will finish what I started. Updates and drafting will be relaxed. I'll officially start posting once I've saved up a certain number of chapters.

The Detective Conan timeline is a mess. It includes movie content and original cases. The intelligence level of the characters throughout the story will be limited to the author's intelligence, and the author has no intelligence (just kidding).

Important content warnings

1. The female lead and MI5's approach to the Black Organization is surveillance, not total eradication. The organization isn't as brazen in Britain as it is in Japan, where the original Detective Conan takes place. At first, their approach will be closer to Ango infiltrating the Port Mafia in Bungou Stray Dogs. After Gin's nightmare about the organization killing people on a London sightseeing bus, their stance will become more severe, but they still won't insist on destroying the organization. Some members may even be recruited by the end.

2. I'm bad at writing romance. The pairing hasn't been decided, and there may not be one. I'll see who fits best as the story develops, but there won't be a pairing with an original character.

3. The love interest could be from either the Black or Red sides, but Rei Furuya, also known as Toru, is the least likely option. As someone who loves his country, Toru may be at odds with the female lead, or even on the opposing side. The most likely Black Organization candidate is Gin, while the most likely Red side candidate is Akai.

4. The female lead is not a virgin, and neither may be the other characters. She's an adult Western woman, and there may even be friends-with-benefits relationships in the story. Nothing below the neck will be described, of course. It will only be mentioned that they've been together.

5. The writing is amateurish. Reasoned advice is welcome, vulgar insults are not. If you can't keep reading, just click the top right corner to leave. That's totally fine.
