After I died, I transmigrated. It's a pretty clichéd start.
But what made it different was that my soul split in two.
I became both a man and a woman.
I became both an easygoing, carefree person and a cold, taciturn person.
Although we were the same person, our personalities became vastly different after our soul split in two.
Having two accounts felt fascinating, but I could only sense vague information from the other one. The two accounts couldn't communicate with each other.
The road to reunion would be long indeed.
Kusaka Kai spends every day on Yokohama's dark side, watching his boss work 996 while happily slacking off. His wish is to get promoted, get rich, and make a fortune without lifting a finger. His goal is to find his other account and treat her to sour fish with pickled cabbage at the Kofuku Restaurant.
Mizuno Teru spends every day working 996, roaming the streets and exorcising curses. Her wish is for world peace. Her goal is to find her other account and treat him to matcha tofu and creamy potatoes.
[I have a bright future x2.]
Until one day, the two accounts met, their memories connected, and their personalities merged.
And so...
Nakahara Chuuya saw a subordinate who used to slack off as skillfully as that mackerel and suddenly became meticulous about his work. Someone who liked sour food happily ate something with 100% sweetness.
Fushiguro Megumi saw his frosty senior smile so brightly she was practically blinding. A sweet tooth who put half a cup of sugar in his coffee started eating sour food without even blinking.
All the other spectators: "... The power of love really is amazing."
So why were their tastes in food so different?
Protagonist: "...Actually, I liked both sweet and sour food in my previous life."
So one got the sour taste, and the other got the sweet.
Everyone who knew both Kusaka Kai and Mizuno Teru knew they were each other's weakness. They only showed their softest sides when they were together. They were truly a perfect match, connected heart to heart.
The protagonist's point of view: My soul fragments have reunited. I'm so happy!
The spectators' point of view: I'm shipping them! This ship is sailing!
Protagonist: "...???"
Note: The protagonist is both male and female, so the POV is marked as unclear. No couples, and no reveal of their identities. Their memories and personalities will only connect and merge when the two accounts are close to each other.
Theme: Even split apart, my soul is still me.
