A Scientific Survival Guide for the Disqualified from Being Human

Novel blurb: Superpowers vs. science, hope vs. despair, a chaotic evil black-hearted man from his past life must carry the banner of hope. Dazai, the youngest executive in the Port Mafia, a bandage-wrapped weirdo who keeps throwing himself into the water day after day, finally fulfills his lifelong wish after accidentally transmigrating into Academy City: death. Though it wasn't by choice. Maybe he did too many terrible things in his last life. While everyone else is enjoying school life, he is the only one tossed into a time loop as a bandaged weirdo from Academy City, forced to experience all kinds of deaths whenever he lets his guard down. Dazai, reborn for the Nth time: ...Thanks for asking. I'm in Academy City, just came back to life, and I've died so many times I don't even want to die anymore. The school-life plot he expected turns into a destruction scenario. To clear the game, he has to identify every contributing factor and reach the happy ending, but none of his teammates are reliable. Every time, they manage to create some new variable for him to deal with: Back in the literary world, everyone was a problem student. There aren't many normal people among Academy City's Level 5s, and the Danganronpa crowd who came in search of "absolute hope" are even better at causing trouble... Punching secret organizations, kicking Despair Sisters, and trying to survive for the first time in his life is really taking some getting used to. Dazai: Could you all stop causing trouble and read a book for once? ...You again! Keep your hands off my script! * "When you face despair in the world, have you ever considered that someone has always loved you and wanted to save you?" It turns out there were signs all along: both his transmigration and the death he was destined for. But when the truth comes to light, that person doesn't show the slightest surprise. Instead, they smile: "So, Dazai-kun, have you discovered the secret of this world?" Please note: 1. Pairing undecided. The romance is very light. Depending on how things go, I'll pick one of the boys. 2. Plenty of angst. This isn't a sweet romance, but the ending will definitely be happy. 3. Out of character. A prediction-within-a-prediction, nested-doll kind of story. Theme: Never give up hope.
