Nishikawa Eri, who had a hearing impairment, was introverted and quiet. People saw her as "a nuisance," and she had no patient friends by her side. Then, in her second year of junior high, she transferred to Sendai. On the first day of school, someone knocked her hearing aid to the ground. The culprit ran off. A pink-haired boy passing by picked up the hearing aid and crouched to ask her, "...Hello. Are you looking for this?" Nishikawa Eri's breath caught. * Later "Itadori," he patiently repeated. "Itadori Yuuji." "I, ta, do, ri... Yuji?" she said, pretending to struggle with the pronunciation. The boy smiled brightly at her. "You got it. That's my name." At that moment, the world of endless rain in her heart suddenly turned sunny. * On the day they returned to school, the day before graduation, Itadori received this postcard "Itadori, my seatmate, would you like to go look at the moon with me?" Signed: Nishikawa Eri *The heroine has a hearing impairment that developed after birth. She isn't the lively type and doesn't like to be direct. *I will always love unrequited-love-and-reunion tropes. *Third-person narration. A slow-burn, slice-of-life story with a little plot. The author has lost the initial spark for writing this story, so if you feel uncomfortable at any point, please stop reading. *Many original story details. Sukuna won't appear. This is purely a romance. ---- Coming Soon ---- I Only Know How to Feel Sorry for Fushiguro Natsume Kayue once liked someone like this in junior high. He had the wildest, most unruly hedgehog hair in the world, and was incredibly strong. After beating up delinquents, he would sit atop a pile of people and look down on the world. But she was timid, and could only silently watch the "Fushiguro-nii" sitting behind her. She didn't dare say more than a word to him. It wasn't until their junior high graduation ceremony that Natsume Kayue finally worked up the courage to ask him for the second button on his uniform, as a keepsake of her unrequited love. But who could have known that the spot where the second button should have been was already empty? After a long, awkward silence, the boy looked at her and pretended to reach for his third button. "Would the third one be okay?" Natsume Kayue waved her hands. "...No, thanks." Her unrequited love came to a perfect end along with the second button he had given away. * "I probably won't ever see him again. Probably." Sitting in a car on the way to Tokyo, Natsume Kayue thought so. Later, in an inconspicuous corner, she was surrounded by delinquents she'd offended in the past, who demanded protection money. And just then, she suddenly heard that long-familiar nickname "Fushiguro-nii."
