Dreaming of Plucking the Stars

Everyone in Ningcheng's upper circles knew that Shen Nianxing, the eldest daughter of the Shen family, had brows like painted blue-green ink and a waist like a willow branch. She was a star in the heavens, impossible to reach. Everyone speculated about which man would take such a beauty home as his bride. Later, at a Shen family banquet, they announced the eldest daughter's betrothed. Song Chi, the third young master of the Song family. Ningcheng had two famous figures: Shen Nianxing, the eldest daughter of the Shen family, and Song Chi, the third young master of the Song family. The former was beautiful and aloof, a star in the heavens, impossible to reach. The latter was ruthless and merciless, a tiger among the clouds, impossible to provoke. No one could have imagined the two would ever become involved. When news of their engagement broke, there was no end to the sighs of regret and schadenfreude. Everyone said that the star in the heavens had been sullied. A heartless man like him was hardly the sort to treat a woman gently. Only Shen Nianxing knew how infatuated the third young master of the Song family, so revered and feared by others, looked when he knelt before her, trembling as he kissed the back of her hand. When Song Chi was young, he once met a girl. Her slender, pale hands held a bouquet of baby's breath, and her waist was so delicate it seemed it could be encircled in one hand. One glance was all it took for him to fall. He had seen the most beautiful star in the world, yet still dared to dream of plucking her from the heavens. 2021.6.15 Theme: Stay positive and keep moving forward
