Tamed and Pampered

At sixteen, Su Ruan was at the end of her rope when Huo Jinting took her in. She willingly became his little pet, always at his beck and call and gone whenever he wanted her gone. Everyone in Hong Kong's high society said Huo Jinting was cold-hearted and debauched, changing women faster than he changed clothes. Only Su Ruan stayed by his side, and she stayed for two whole years. Later, rumors spread that Huo Jinting had finally turned over a new leaf and settled down. But Su Ruan knew he had never loved her. Until one late night, she caught Huo Jinting talking to a woman. A cigarette rested between his fingers as he smiled nonchalantly. "She's just a little pet. If you don't like her, I'll have someone kick her out." That very night, Su Ruan vanished without a trace. When Huo Jinting first heard the news, he only let out a scoff. He knew how much Su Ruan loved him, and how impossible it was for her to leave him. He flicked the ash from his cigarette, his eyes full of scorn. "Let her go. Once she's done throwing her little tantrum, she'll come back to me. She's just a pet, but she really thinks she's somebody." Several months passed, and Su Ruan still hadn't returned. The man who had always been carefree and unconstrained finally panicked and began searching for her like a madman. At last, he found her in a bar, leaning against her "new love" and chatting intimately, her beauty radiant. Under the shadowy lights, Huo Jinting called hoarsely, "Ruan Ruan, come home." Before Su Ruan could answer, the man beside her asked, "Who is he?" Su Ruan glanced up at him and replied carelessly, "I don't know him." Theme: Love
