Lin Che likes Zhou Yansen.
From kindergarten through high school, he was part of all her youthful memories.
But Lin Che knows he doesn't like her.
One day, after graduating from college, Zhou Yansen suddenly shows up with a ring.
“Will you marry me?”
Lin Che looks at the ill-fitting ring and says yes.
Married life is so uneventful it's almost dull. Zhou Yansen treats her with cool indifference, and their life together is no different from two people simply sharing a home.
This marriage, like a deep freeze, lasts into its third year. Lin Che remains hopeful that one day she'll warm Zhou Yansen's heart.
But before she can even get the fire going, Zhou Yansen's first love returns.
His first love says Zhou Yansen turned to Lin Che only because she had rejected his proposal and he couldn't face explaining things to his family.
Lin Che hears that he still has feelings for her, that they never really cut ties, and that he's even planning to “rekindle their romance.”
After thinking it over, Lin Che decides that before she can warm Zhou Yansen's heart, she has to get over the huge obstacle that is his “first love.”
That's impossible...
She's done.
So Lin Che puts the divorce papers in front of Zhou Yansen.
His expression changes on the spot. After a long pause, he frowns and asks tentatively, “Are you short on money?”
Lin Che: ?
Zhou Yansen: “Is your family pressuring you to have a baby again?”
Lin Che: ??
