At some point, as reports of people disappearing began to increase across the country, a strange urban legend started making the rounds.
After the sun goes down, evil spirits roam the streets. There are also demon slayers who hunt them down and protect people.

The protagonist of a novel who has broken through the fourth wall. Another orphan has been welcomed into the Little Green River orphanage. Unfortunately, she shares a voice actor and color scheme with the bandage-wrapped pest who has been her nemesis since childhood.
After skipping grades and graduating from university, she stays home waiting for the main story to begin. Meanwhile, the bandage pest who just will not leave her alone keeps bothering her, until she angrily moves to the mountains outside Yokohama to live in seclusion.
On the day she turns twenty, the Space-Time Administration comes calling. Miaki is well prepared: armed with a script she wrote herself, she puts on a secret identity and establishes an academy, hunts down and collects the souls of evil spirits, and helps capture the Time Retrograde Army as its commander-in-chief.

Whether in the past or the present, those who wield a blade have never been the least bit uncertain. The souls and wills of those who rise up one after another are as eternal and undying as this human world.
The future is both far away and close at hand. In a mortal body, let the sun rise. No matter how long the winter night, the dawn's light will arrive after daybreak.
