One of the three major wand makers in Europe, as famous as Germany's Gregovich. Mr. Ollivander is undoubtedly the best wandmaker in the world, and many foreigners come to London just to buy a wand made by him rather than buy it locally. Mr. Ollivander was influenced by the art which had been passed down in his family for many generations, and his talent was evident at an early age. He harbored ambitions to improve the cores and wood of wands currently in use, and from a young age he was determined and fanatical in his pursuit of the ideal wand.
Mr. Ollivander is eccentric in nature, has a rigorous pursuit of his profession, and is fascinated by the connection between wands and wizards.
