Holy City [Esports]

"People used to adapt to the times. Now I create the times."

After Ji Nian retired, the authorities gave legendary gear a major buff. Everyone lamented that he had been born at the wrong time, a victim of cruel fate.

Then one day, the official account of the RWQ Club's Sacred City division announced that Zero, formerly a KPL player with the club, had officially transferred to the Sacred City project.

Fans: ???

We were waiting for your triumphant return to King's Glory, and you switched games instead???

Ji Nian smiled. "Can't be helped. Someone wouldn't let me be a training partner."

A fictional modern setting. The characters and teams in this story have no real-life counterparts.

Sacred City is a game I came up with myself, and I've invented a lot of details. I'll do my best to make it easy to follow.

This is an experimental story. Please forgive the writing and plot if they're unclear, and don't flame me if it's not your thing.
