Your Highness, I'll Write Novels to Support You

A mysterious little bookstall appeared in the alley by the back gate of Prince Jing's residence. It sold a serialized novel called The Romantic Crown Prince and the Handsome Prince, brazenly making up a love story about the two most distinguished single men in the realm. The tale even had onlookers lining up every day to wait for the next installment. Prince Jing, Zhu Wenzhen, was furious. Disguising himself, he went to find the reckless author of this melodramatic rubbish and demanded to know what on earth he was thinking, writing such an indecent novel. The young man actually gazed at him with tears in his eyes and said earnestly, "I've been secretly in love with Your Highness for a long time. My love is unrequited, and the pain is unbearable. I can only use writing novels to ease the ache of longing." Looking into those affectionate eyes, Zhu Wenzhen couldn't bring himself to swing the three-foot blade in his hand. "Tell me more about the part where you're secretly in love with me." - Tang Ke transmigrated into a book as a cannon-fodder assassin and promptly abandoned his mission to set up a little bookstall. Why bother with assassinations when he could focus on his writing career? He was having a blast writing novels, his sales were soaring, and he even gained a devoted fan. That devoted fan seemed to be obsessed with shipping the characters. He came by Tang Ke's home every day, eager to discuss the plot with him. Tang Ke was already struggling to deal with him when he looked up and saw the love in the other man's eyes. A cold sweat broke out all over him. "Listen, fan, I'm not interested in you. Please behave yourself." The other man snorted and tossed out Prince Jing's token. "Is that so? Who was it that said he was in love with me and sick with longing?" Tang Ke: "That wasn't me. I didn't say that. Don't make things up." A smooth-talking, mischievous gong x a seemingly aloof shou who is a master of convincing himself the other person is in love with him 1. A lighthearted, silly little sweet romance 2. Tons of headcanon, terrible at palace intrigue, even worse at political machinations 3. The prince has a strange way of thinking. He's childish and a bit of a dummy, so don't try to understand him with normal logic! Theme: Work hard and pursue both career and love
