I wanted to let events continue along their original course, but a butterfly from another world changed someone's fate. Written for the professor I love most. The Slytherins of the next generation spend their lives struggling, suffering in the margins and silently grieving behind everyone else's backs. They protect those they care about with painstaking care, and by any means necessary. The young snakes of the Marauders' generation live much more freely and boldly. That's what inspired me to write a story about their generation.

The protagonist is a tragic soul from Terror Infinity. Zhang Jie was erased by a glowing egg, and encountering a “prehistoric ape-man” wasn't your fault. And so, this story came to be. Also, the protagonist knows nothing about the plot and has no idea that the Harry Potter books even exist!

This story includes an occasional patient suffering from deadpan humor, one young professor struck by the cruel realities of life, heaps of righteous Gryffindor lions, and one exasperated headmaster forever cleaning up after them. There's one Lord V who loves to slice himself up, a few wicked Muggles who enjoy slicing up wizards, a handful of Slytherin purebloods who worship strength and love scheming, and one fox of a butler who loves rolling around on Galleons. The story may veer 35 degrees east of the original, so please bear with me!

Lately I've hit a “bottle-neck” in my writing. It feels as though I've suddenly lost the drive I had when I first started this story, and it's left me confused and miserable. Maybe the protagonist who traveled into this world is so powerful that he's eclipsed the characters who should have shone in the original. While working overtime at the office today, I suddenly looked back at why I started writing this story. I wanted to give Snape a genuine warmth, someone who could understand him and stay by his side for life after he had learned how cruel reality could be. As the story went on, it strayed from its original course, leaving me, its author, hopelessly conflicted and upset. Once I figured that out, inspiration suddenly flooded back. The professor's gloom, restraint, sharp tongue, and robes that conceal his desire are all back. From now on, I'll revise the story as I continue updating. Thank you all for keeping me company over the past twenty days or so, and for encouraging me. Thank you.
