Qianyuan, a photographer so broke she has to eat dirt, discovers a cultivation game in closed beta.
The game is highly interactive, and its promotional video has a cute, heartwarming art style. You can feed your little one delicious food, give them a magical wardrobe makeover, and watch them grow up. It claims to be a casual game that doesn't demand a grind, and Qianyuan falls for it instantly.
But after downloading it, she discovers that all the talk of casual, heartwarming gameplay is total nonsense.
The main story is so infuriating it makes you want to throw up, the currency exchange rate is ten to one, you have to stay online for an hour to claim your sign-in reward, and the moment you log off, your little one starts turning evil.
...But the little one is so pitiful and tsundere that Qianyuan's heart softens. She starts scavenging, raising fish in a pond, and running a farm in the game, settling into a hardworking life of raising her kid.

After a military coup, Cen Han, once the favored son of heaven, sees his life turned upside down overnight.
A traitor's son, a heartless ingrate, a useless cripple who is both blind and disabled. Friends and family grow cold and distant, while bullying and violence follow him everywhere.
He walks alone through the endless darkness, dragged into the depths by a gloomy, world-weary malice, until at last someone else appears by his side.
She doesn't care about his gloom or suspicion. She stays with him through his misery,
like... a little sun, baring her claws to chase away the darkness.

Literary blurb:
/In the bitter winter, as snow fell thickly, Cen Han gained a deity.
He dared not profane her or draw her close, hiding his forbidden longing deep in his heart./
Reader's guide:
1. The male lead is disabled, but he will recover.
2. They save each other. Overall, it should be quite sweet, but there are a few separation-and-reunion chapters later on. Consider yourself warned!
3. It's partly fictionalized. The heroine lives in a modern future, the male lead in the interstellar age, and the worldbuilding is entirely my own.
4. There's a similar disability-and-redemption story in my author page. Feel free to check it out!

A preview of my upcoming novel, The Nightingale and the Wild Dog
During a street performance, Jiang Chao meets a boy.
His clothes are old and too short, leaving his wrists and ankles exposed in winter. Night after night, he crouches in an inconspicuous corner, silently listening to her sing.
At an age when he should be happily attending school, he wears gloves stained with gasoline, and the corners of the borrowed textbooks he reads have been turned up from use.
He's a very poor boy.
Jiang Chao feels sorry for him. Knowing he can't afford a meal, she casually gives him food. Learning that he borrows books from others, she makes an excuse to buy him new ones.
The boy, who was cold and unruly when they first met, grows gentler and gentler, but Jiang Chao doesn't think much of it.
Different cities have different stories, and the stories in this city must come to an end too.
She is a bird that cannot be tied down, with nowhere to call home and no place where she has ever stayed.
So when Ying Tan takes her wrist and asks in a hoarse voice, "Can you stay?" Jiang Chao only shakes her head.
"I'm leaving," she says without hesitation, though she smiles as she tells him, "You need to grow up well."
When they meet again, the bird has broken her wings and fallen into the mud.
She flees into the rainy night in panic, right into Ying Tan's eyes.
"Come with me."
Dressed in a suit, the man grips her shoulders in the pouring rain, not caring that he is soaked through.
His voice is low and hoarse as he says, "I'll help you."
Jiang Chao thinks the boy has come to repay her kindness.
The day her wings heal, his eyes are darker than ever, wildfire surging and sinking in their depths.
"You want to leave?"
He crushes the cigarette between his fingers and turns his gaze aside. His Adam's apple bobs several times, but when he speaks, his voice is cool.
"You've paid off their debts."
"But you haven't paid off mine."

2. They save each other.
Premise: Brave every obstacle and make your way toward the light.
I have an immature idea, I want to see Da Da finish writing the if line [dog head]
Make a post-marriage extra episode! ! !
Throw flowers! ! ! Super pretty
I don't like watching StarCraft, but this article really poked fun at me! Why hasn't anyone noticed it yet when I come back and re-watch it? [Heartbroken][Comparison of Hearts]
Is it really impossible to suddenly break out a post-marriage extravaganza [crying]
The humble and tolerant and affectionate male protagonist Xiang Xiangxiang
I thought the if line would be a little longer, I really want to know the follow-up QAQ
Why is there no more! I'm still not finished! ! !
Nice! Totally can't get enough of it! ! ! !
The whole novel is very good, but the ending may be a bit rushed. I thought there would be more romantic chapters, but it didn't feel sudden.
