After living another life, Ye Lan finally learned that she was the contrast character in a story about a fake heiress with a lucky streak and a real heiress.
The fake heiress heroine was born under a lucky star, so she'd taken Ye Lan's place from birth and become the daughter of a future business tycoon. The fake heiress cried and begged for her parents, and Ye Lan's parents declared that the Ye family had only one daughter.
And so...
When the heroine brought good fortune to her father, a businessman who made his living at sea, Ye Lan was scavenging for recyclables.
When the heroine brought good fortune to her mother, a dancer, Ye Lan was cutting pigweed.
When the heroine brought good fortune to her future famous director brother, Ye Lan was haggling with people over a few cents.
But later, they realized everything had changed.
Ye Family Father: The business magnate I need to curry favor with... is my own daughter?
Ye Family Mother: These shopping malls are all owned by Ye Lan!
Ye Family Brother: Is this the sister I used to look down on?
Fake Heiress: Weren't I supposed to be the lucky one?
