Saving the Heavenly Dao

I'm changing this into a short story! Under 10,000 words, like the short stories in magazines! I'll say it three times because it's important. I'll write it in the gaps after I finish the divorce story. [Mad Beauty vs. Mad Yandere] The Heavenly Way crumbled and fell into demonic corruption. Immortals perished, and people suffered. I offered myself to the demon to destroy it, then remake heaven and earth. The Heavenly Way wept in despair, shedding bloody tears. Rain fell on the world for three months without stopping, but my Dao heart remained steadfast, and my immortal sword was set on taking his life. The Heavenly Way asked, "If you had to choose between me and the people of the world, whom would you choose?" "The people." "Have you ever loved me?" Did he want to hear that I never had? No. I had loved him, and loved him deeply. A voice asked from somewhere beyond this world: [Are you really saving the Heavenly Way?] I answered without hesitation: [I am.] To keep the land at peace, the only way was to sacrifice the Heavenly Way and give the world a chance. I really was saving him. (Note: The blurb has a double meaning.) [Important notice: Please do not copy or adapt my ideas. Who knows, maybe one day I'll decide to turn this short story into a full-length novel! Also: The blurb has been registered on Weibo. This novel is published exclusively on Jinjiang. Please do not repost it! Updates will be irregular.] Theme: The past cannot be changed. Believe that every decision you make is the best one you can make in the moment.
