The Cold Shadow Guard and the Charming Prince

A short story, an abandoned project brought back for writing practice.

A foolishly beautiful prince is manipulated by a scumbag uke, and nearly loses both his virtue and his heart before being given away to someone else as a gift.

The cool-headed shadow guard, who has secretly loved the prince for a long time, finally gets his chance to take advantage of the situation. After giving himself to the prince, he uses the prince’s foolishness to demand that he take responsibility.

The prince has a strong sense of duty. He resolves to cut ties with the scumbag uke, and the shadow guard slowly wins him over.

Meanwhile, the shadow guard is thinking about how to coax the prince into calling him “husband,” and how to get the prince’s older sister, the current emperor, to agree to their marriage.

Bonus scene:

They run into the scumbag uke again just as they are getting married.

The execution of the scumbag uke is scheduled for the very same day.

The prince, feeling rather wistful, glances at the scumbag uke. The shadow guard immediately wraps an arm around his waist and warns him that if he looks again, he’ll make him “take a good look” that night.

The prince is weak. The prince wants to cry.
