Sun Miaomiao has always been able to see the future and peer into the past. Her special ability is like a "curse": except for those close to her, everyone keeps their distance. To earn enough to cover her living expenses while studying abroad, she sets up a fortune-telling stall on the streets of Britain year-round.

Because she's so good at fortune-telling, her customers are a motley bunch: a rich young lady who can conjure loads of delicious food and heaps of gold coins from a clay jar; a science-and-engineering student who can predict every exam question and speak over a hundred languages; a male therapist whose clients include royalty and nobility; and a guy skilled in all eighteen forms of martial arts, who once served as a bodyguard for a president but still gets beaten up by his girlfriend...

As customers keep returning, Sun Miaomiao's savings steadily grow. Meanwhile, she meets some even stranger clients: a witch from Bear Country who follows Western Orthodoxy, a female lawyer from Egypt, a female shooting athlete from Greece, a female writer from Norway, and a female plastic surgeon from China... They all have strange abilities.

As Sun Miaomiao spends more time with them, she discovers that each of them is troubled by something. Through her ongoing interactions with these people, Sun Miaomiao also comes to understand her own life more deeply.

Whether life is going well or badly, face it with calm acceptance.
