Everyone sighed that Cui Qingyu had traded his life for power. Beneath his aloof beauty and the immense authority he wielded, he was nothing but a sickly invalid.
What they didn't know was that this celestial-looking figure could also glimpse the future.
In a dream, beneath bright yellow curtains, Cui Qingyu saw himself pinned beneath a man and toyed with in every way, while that man repeatedly called him "Master."
His brows lifted slightly. Shouldn't he kill this boy now and be done with it?

Although Ye Shuran was a prince, he was born of low status and spent his days in a small room beside the Cold Palace.
He had experienced the warmth and cruelty of human nature from a young age, and learned how to flatter and disguise himself.
Everyone in the palace treated him like filthy mud. Only that figure in white wiped away his tears and said gently, "Your Highness, why belittle yourself? Heaven will entrust great responsibilities to those it has chosen. You will surely accomplish great things one day."
That tenderness pierced his heart like a cold blade.
Later, he finally ascended the throne and could claim that pure white moonlight.

In the warm bedchamber, Cui Qingyu ground his teeth. He had killed an entire litter of rabbits, yet raised the only wolf cub with his own hands.
Breathing softly, Cui Qingyu smiled. "Your Majesty, aren't you afraid I harbor treasonous thoughts and will change the dynasty?"
Ye Shuran's laughter sounded behind his neck.
"If Master wants to kill the emperor, you can simply kill me. This is more like a cat bluffing, meowing away~"

Reading Guide
1. A master-disciple romance, with the bottom sixteen years older than the top. This isn't one of those fake master-disciple pairings with an age gap of seven or eight years, or even four or five. I wrote this to satisfy my own tastes, so please don't read if you can't accept the age gap.
2. The political intrigue was written by my pet chinchilla standing on the keyboard. I don't know what it wrote either. If you speak chinchilla, feel free to talk to it.
3. The bottom fears death and craves power; the top is possessive and hopelessly lovestruck. Neither is perfect, so this may not suit readers with extreme character preferences.
4. My pet chinchilla has no manners. If you insult me, it'll come argue with you in your dreams in the middle of the night. It's super fierce!
5. The cover character is Cui Qingyu, illustrated by Shili Yu'an.
