The Reborn Saintess: Beautiful, Powerful, and Wretched No More

As a beautiful, powerful, and revered Holy Maiden, Si Yao swept through the Demon Venerable's lair with a single sword strike. When she rescued Xie Lingjue from the mountain where he was trapped and sacrificed herself, she didn't think she had met a tragic end. She only thought so after she died and heard countless voices from another world saying how tragic her fate was. "The male lead cultivates the Heartless Path and doesn't even love her, yet she sacrificed herself for him. What a tragic Holy Maiden!" Si Yao: Who loves whom? * Everyone said that the Holy Maiden of Cangling Mountain loved Xie Lingjue, the Dao Lord of the Heartless Path, and that he had let her down. When Xie Lingjue faced the final tribulation before ascending, countless voices from Heaven and Earth questioned him. The one he heard most often was this accusation. After failing his tribulation, time turned back, and Xie Lingjue returned to the day he was first brought to Cangling Mountain to ask the Holy Maiden for medicine. This was the day recorded in countless stories throughout the mortal realm. The first meeting between the world's greatest Sword Saint and its greatest Holy Maiden. Xie Lingjue, reborn at the peak of his power: I cultivate the Heartless Path, so I can't return the feelings she wants. In this life, all I can do is protect her more and give her everything she wants, except for love. Si Yao: Can I have your life? * Si Yao didn't know why everyone said she loved the Dao Lord of the Heartless Path, but that didn't stop her from wanting to kill the Son of Heaven's Will, Xie Lingjue, for the sake of all living beings after she was reborn. At first Si Yao: If Heaven's Will won't let the people live in peace, then I'll make sure its own darling suffers. Die! Xie Lingjue: She loves me so much, she wants to die with me. Much, much later Xie Lingjue, who had reborn with a thick health bar and would otherwise have died eight hundred times over, finally understood that the Holy Maiden wanted him dead. Xie Lingjue, Dao Lord of the Heartless Path: Don't ask. Obviously, the Holy Maiden hates me because she loves me. Hmph. The male lead in one sentence #After being reborn, the Dao Lord of the Heartless Path ships himself with the Holy Maiden# Bonus scene Si Yao: I'm weak. Strike me with your sword, just once. It won't hurt. Xie Lingjue: Do you think I've forgotten the peerless cultivation you displayed in my previous life, when you left the mountain to help me and split one with a single sword strike? A sword strike from you could stop even gods and demons! Theme: Hold fast to the Dao in your heart. Those who cultivate immortality should care for all living beings.
