A Guide to Raising Your Nemesis

Xi Ling is the little princess of the Phoenix Bird clan, recognized by all six realms as the most beautiful woman in the world. Her blue-green luan feathers are gorgeous and radiant. At thirty thousand years old, she failed her tribulation. After being struck by lightning, she transmigrated into the body of a parrot. The parrot’s feathers were scorched, its face was unrecognizable, and it was hideously ugly. Just then, a slender hand picked her up. The hand’s owner: “How can something so hideous and evil exist in this world?” Xi Ling: … A moment later, the hand’s owner said, “Wait, isn’t this the spirit pet I keep?” Xi Ling: ? On the first day she became the parrot of her immortal lord archenemy, who found her and brought her home, Xi Ling was in despair. Everyone knew she and this Xuan Yu Immortal Lord didn’t get along. She had no idea what horrible fate awaited her now that she’d fallen into his hands. ** Xie Xuanyu recently discovered that his little pet had become sentient. Before, the pet could only parrot what others said, repeating their words and following the crowd. Now she actually seemed to have a mind of her own. The last time, he heard her calling him a bastard behind his back. This time, Xie Xuanyu went to subdue an immortal beast. The parrot squawked, “Idiot, idiot! That’s not how you fight!” Xie Xuanyu brought his sword down, its chilling sword energy sweeping out. Every enemy fell to the ground. Parrot: … When Xie Xuanyu cultivated, the parrot would squawk, “Don’t cultivate, don’t cultivate! You’ll go into cultivation deviation if you keep doing it like this! Talk to me!” By morning, Xie Xuanyu’s cultivation had advanced considerably. Parrot: … Xie Xuanyu took his spirit pet with him every day. One day, when he was about to bathe, he put the parrot on its perch. The parrot watched the immortal lord undress, eyes bulging in horror. ?????? Wait! “Is this something a bird like me is allowed to see?!” The immortal lord glanced over with a sharp look. Xi Ling rolled her eyes and, gazing at the immortal lord’s slender figure, slowly uttered a single word: “Damn…” Xie Xuanyu finally realized that there was something wrong with this parrot. ** Xuan Yu Immortal Lord had made a name for himself at a young age and possessed extraordinary talent. He was handsome, aloof, and proud. While still young, he had mastered the sword and immortal arts. Fate foretold that one day he would unite the three realms and become the Divine Sovereign. But on the road to ascension, he would have to undergo a tribulation of love. The Book of Fate said that he would be entangled for life with a female immortal of the Phoenix Bird clan, and in the end, cut out his own feelings and kill the Phoenix Bird with his sword. Only then would he sever all romantic attachments and attain the Heartless Dao. But the people of the immortal realm waited and waited, and never saw him become entangled with a bird-clan beauty. All they saw was a parrot perched on Xuan Yu Immortal Lord’s shoulder, day after day. The two ate and lived together, never leaving each other’s side. The immortals: Technically, a parrot is a bird… Immortal A: There’s nothing wrong with having romantic troubles with a parrot, either… Immortal B: She may be a little ugly, but as long as the immortal lord likes her, that’s what matters. Immortal D: Seriously, he’s head over heels for her. Xi Ling, perched on Xie Xuanyu’s shoulder, glared fiercely at them. How infuriating! I’m not a parrot. My true form is a blue-green luan! I’m beautiful! Story details: 1. Sweet romance, happy ending, one-on-one. 2. A super-powerful sweet girl versus a handsome but tragic, arrogant man. Archenemies become lovers, and together they fight fate and seek revenge. 3. The prophecy in the blurb reveals too much, but the story absolutely won’t have the kind of terrible twist shown there, so rest assured. The male lead will adore her later on. 4. The female lead is a little bird at night and human by day. As a bird, she’s turquoise like a piece of malachite, about the size of a palm, small and adorable. 5. A bird who clings to her man, chirp chirp chirp. Hope you enjoy the story! =v= Cover art thanks to: @Qianhe Shengfei Theme: Love all things, for all the world is filled with feeling.
