After I Became a Discarded Heiress

Blurb One:

Cheng Yan wakes up to find herself in the body of a supporting character with the same name in a fake-heiress story. The original Cheng Yan died after ruining her own life out of jealousy of the heroine. Beside her lies a newborn baby girl.

Her husband, heir to a top-tier wealthy family, receives the happy news and gets busy making money. He doesn't show up, but he does send five property deeds for luxury homes in the city center.

Her nasty, son-preference-obsessed mother-in-law mocks her for failing to give birth to a boy. She can't even be bothered to visit her granddaughter, but in a fit of anger, she transfers a nine-figure bonus to Cheng Yan.

She has a luxury home, money, and a child. Her husband never comes home, and her mother-in-law has no interest in teaching her how to be a daughter-in-law. If she so much as sends them a message, she'd be showing a lack of respect for money.

Blurb Two:

Jiang Ce has recently noticed that his wife keeps finding new ways to vent her displeasure.

When he finally makes it home, instead of wearing a slip nightgown and pulling him into the master bedroom, she wears Peppa Pig pajamas and cuddles their daughter to sleep in the child's room.

When he manages to have dinner at home, she doesn't sit next to him to serve him food and soup. She sits as far away from him as possible.

When he gives a speech at his alma mater and runs into her, she doesn't throw herself into his arms and declare her claim on him in front of all the junior female students. She actually pretends not to know him.

Jiang Ce: "If you're unhappy with me, you can just say so."

Cheng Yan: "...I'm not. Absolutely not."

Jiang Ce: "When a woman says she's not unhappy, she is. I get it. You can decide what kind of wedding you want."

...Why have a wedding when there's nothing wrong? Wouldn't it be better to give her the money and let her invest in a business and make more money?
