The World-Destroying Villain's Protective Childhood Friend Is Back

I ran out of inspiration for the original plot, so I changed it. Oops, I'm very sorry.

Wenren Fei studied at Chongming Mountain and mastered the sword at a young age. Just as he was about to ascend, he accidentally entered a rift in time. He got lost for seven days, and when he emerged, five hundred years had passed.

The stars had shifted and the moon had turned. Five hundred years later, the cultivation world had become a living hell: the immortal sects had withered, and demons ran rampant.

A fellow who called himself the Savior System came to him, claiming that the only way to save the world was to eliminate the villain who would destroy it.

The villain was supposedly cruel, bloodthirsty, and tyrannical. Because he was blind, he supposedly loved torturing people for fun by gouging out their eyes.

But when Wenren Fei followed the directions and came face to face with the villain, he discovered that the world-ending villain the System had described, who had murdered his master, betrayed his sect, fallen into demonic cultivation, and become despised by all

was actually Lin Tansheng, his childhood friend from his memories, who had been afraid of the cold, the dark, and pain, and had suffered from a severe blood phobia and an obsession with cleanliness.

Lin Tansheng came from one of the great families of the Nine Provinces. He was stunningly beautiful and proud, the most precious person Wenren Fei had ever seen.

Yet this was a man who had once bathed, burned incense, and fasted for three days just to kill a chicken. Now he could crush the heads of dozens of cultivators of the same rank with his bare hands in the blink of an eye, without so much as changing his expression.

Watching Lin Tansheng walk barefoot through the blood and turn to reveal the empty eye sockets beneath the white silk, Wenren Fei's breathing hitched.

Lin Tansheng seemed to finally notice him. He tilted his head toward the sound of his voice and asked with a smile, "Are you here to kill me too?"

"No."

Wenren Fei unilaterally blocked out the System's warnings in his mind and reached out to take his icy fingertips. "Lin Tansheng, I'm here to take you home."

The sword cultivators of Chongming Mountain were famously protective of their own, and Wenren Fei, a direct disciple, was especially so.

When a group of so-called righteous people urged him to "turn back before it's too late" and kill Lin Tansheng in the name of justice, Wenren Fei had only one response

(Draws his sword)

"Come back when you can beat me."

A late-stage darkened seme who desperately tries to act normal x a protective uke who'd rather fight than talk
