My Master Never Meant to Raise a Substitute [Book Transmigration]

Rong Xiyue transmigrated into a dark progression fantasy novel as a villainous cannon fodder character. The original body's outwardly aloof and otherworldly, but inwardly gloomy and reclusive.

Unable to win the affections of his beloved Immortal Venerable, he kidnapped the protagonist, who looked like him, and imprisoned him. He intended to brainwash the protagonist into becoming a puppet replacement for his beloved. In the end, his scheme was exposed, the protagonist killed him, and he died without a proper burial.

The protagonist was also driven to darkness by this experience and ultimately set out to destroy the world.

When Rong Xiyue arrived, the original body had just captured the protagonist and was about to brainwash him.

Remembering the original novel's ending, where the villain was ground to dust, Rong Xiyue quietly put away the whip in his hand and coughed. "I see that fate has brought us together. Would you like to become my disciple?"

And the protagonist truly lived up to his expectations, growing into a noble and upright gentleman, refined and proper, respectful of rules. Apart from being a little too clingy around him, there wasn't a thing wrong.

Rong Xiyue had always thought his teaching had been a success.

That is, until the protagonist somehow heard that he admired the Immortal Venerable from the original novel and rushed back in the middle of the night to corner him in his room.

"When Master looks at me now, are you still thinking of that Immortal Venerable?"

The young man raised a hand to caress his cheek, gazing at him with an inscrutable expression. Then he suddenly let out a low laugh, a hint of huskiness barely perceptible in his clear voice. "It doesn't matter. In time, Master will only be able to look at me."
