Sere is the goddess of light and darkness, born naturally at the dawn of creation. She governs life and death and stands as an equal to the three great gods.
Tens of thousands of years later, faith in the human world has waned, and the great gods have all fallen into slumber. But in the darkness, Sere senses a faint summons. She opens her eyes and descends in her true divine form: “I have heard your call. I come in my own form, answer your pact, and honor your vow.”
She wants to see what kind of troublesome situation this is...

Yurisia was once the most talented and celebrated sword apprentice in the Church of Light. At five, she could perform a first-level sword technique. At eight, she beheaded a monstrous beast that had terrorized her village for years with a single strike. At twelve, the Church of Light's chief paladin took her on as a personal disciple. Yet at fifteen, she was abandoned by everyone and hunted by the entire Church of Light.
During the days she spent hiding, she was angry and afraid, but she never regretted her choices. Chased until she was ragged and gaunt, she prayed to all the gods in the heavens, but not one answered.
At last, cornered by a group of holy knights with nowhere left to run, she recited the summoning prayer to Sere, the legendary cruelest and darkest evil god.
After a flash of white light, a silver-haired girl in silver robes quietly appeared. She sat in midair, her compassionate eyes sweeping over the scene below. With a lift of her hand, the holy knights surrounding them turned to dust.
At that moment, Yurisia knew she had seen the light.

Sere doesn't know how many tens of thousands of years she slept. The only thing she can be sure of is that a very, very long time has passed, so long that the world has lost her temples and her church. After casually saving the child who summoned her, she even discovers that her image has been spread far and wide as a vicious evil god.
