Tens of thousands of years later, faith in the human world waned, and the chief gods fell into slumber one after another. But in the darkness, Sere sensed a faint summons. She opened her eyes and descended in her true divine form: "I have heard your call. I come in my own body, answer your pact, and honor your promise."

She was curious to see what sort of troublesome situation awaited her...

Yulixia was once the most talented and celebrated apprentice swordswoman in the Church of Light. At the age of five, she could use first-tier sword techniques. At eight, she cut off the head of a monster that had terrorized her village for years. At twelve, she became the personal disciple of the Church of Light's chief paladin. Yet at fifteen, she was betrayed by everyone and hunted by the entire Church of Light.

During the days she spent hiding, she felt anger and fear, but never regret. Hounded until she was ragged and gaunt, she prayed to all the gods in the heavens, but not one answered.

At last, cornered by a group of Light Knights, she recited the summoning prayer to Sere, the legendary cruelest and darkest evil god.

After a flash of white light, a silver-haired girl in silver robes descended silently. Seated high above, she swept her merciful gaze over those below. With a lift of her hand, the Light Knights surrounding them turned to dust.

In that moment, Yulixia was certain she had seen the light.

Sere had no idea how many tens of thousands of years she had slept. The only thing she knew for certain was that a very, very long time had passed, so long that the world had lost her temples and her church. After casually saving the child who had summoned her, she even discovered that her image was being spread far and wide as that of a fearsome evil god.
