The Wealthy Heiress No Longer Pretends to Be Poor

In a classic Mary Sue novel, the male and female leads meet and fall in love on a dating reality show. With their captivating personas and endlessly sweet interactions, they quickly take the internet by storm.

But the female supporting character keeps pursuing the male lead, and people expose her as a bitter, malicious pauper who dreams of marrying into wealth. She is condemned by everyone and dies of depression.

Xia Qiao is reborn as that supporting character. After seeing how miserable her original self's story was, pretending to be poor for love, she decides to let loose.

The female lead shows off the expensive necklace the male lead gave her. Xia Qiao says, "The real one's at my house. Lying isn't good. You should be honest."

Netizens: Is that for real?

The male lead works hard in the kitchen to provide for the female lead. Xia Qiao says, "It tastes all right, but my dad taught me that as a CEO, you should spend more time working."

Netizens: She's so serious, it's kind of cute, haha.

Later, the female lead's diehard fans jointly demand that Xia Qiao be kicked off the show. Xia Qiao says, "Sorry, but I'm the show's biggest investor now."

Netizens: The fake sweethearts should get lost! Rich lady, marry me!

Later still, the male lead comes looking for Xia Qiao. "You've done all this just to get my attention. You succeeded."

As Xia Qiao stares at him speechlessly, the young richest man takes her hand and sneers at the male lead. "You're imagining things. She's my fiancee."
