The ruthless heroine was the one who set all of it in motion.

So Wen Jing went dark.

When she was young, someone injected Wen Jing with a differentiation inhibitor, preventing her from differentiating. But she could fight better than any Alpha. It was easy for her to pass herself off as an Alpha while being a Beta, but after holding it in for too long, she developed insomnia and came close to a mental breakdown time and again.

Yet she could sleep soundly whenever she smelled Pei Su's pheromones.

So, with a flurry of moves, she stole Pei Su away from the heroine and made him her sidekick, saying, "Don't worry, I have no ulterior motives toward you."

To raise him into an independent, badass Omega, she helped Pei Su clear his name, treat his hand, and get into the most prestigious university. If anyone dared bully him, she'd bully them right back. She was so fiercely protective that it was almost alarming, terrified the little cabbage at home would get mistreated by scumbags.

When Wen Jing suddenly differentiated into an Alpha, she couldn't resist Pei Su's sweet pheromones and pinned him against the wall to kiss him.
