Everyone Wants to Save Me

Shen Qingjiu was born with senses far more acute than normal, especially when it came to pain.

A fall could bring her to tears, and even a slight cut could make her feel like she was dying.

So when she learned she was the heroine of a tragedy, destined to endure all manner of physical and emotional torment, including having her heart ripped out...

Qingjiu: ...I might as well die.

But every time she jumped into a river, someone saved her. Every noose she used snapped. The knife she plunged toward her heart went dull, leaving her in agony but still alive.

The plot told her she couldn't die until she had completed every part of the story.

So Qingjiu only wanted to get through the plot as quickly as possible and reach the bad ending where she died after jumping off a cliff.

But who could have guessed that, along the way, the people who were supposed to torment her would change?

They wanted to make it up to her, cherish her, dote on her, and treat her with the utmost tenderness.

The words they said most often were, "Jiujiu, don't be afraid. I won't let you die."

Shen Qingjiu just stared coldly at them.

Please, just let me die already!!!

At last, the day she had been waiting for arrived.

As everyone watched in disbelief, she fell into the unfathomable abyss like a bloodied butterfly with broken wings.

The cliff was hundreds of feet high. Her bones were shattered, and there was no chance she could survive.

She thought it would all finally be over, but just as she was about to hit the bottom, she fell into someone's warm embrace.

"I won't let anything happen to you..."

The person wiped the bloody tears from her face with burning fingertips. His gaze swept over every bloodstained inch of her body, his eyes turning crimson.

"Whoever hurt you, I'll kill them."

"From now on, no one will ever bully you again..."

Jiujiu, forced to keep on living: ?

No, I just want to die once. Why is it so hard?
