The Last Spirit-Tool Master

(I’ll be making a few small edits to the whole story this month. Once that’s done, I’ll post a bonus chapter. Updated 2025.12) [An old-school post-apocalyptic superpower story. No transmigrate into a book, no reborn, no System. Thanks for your support, and a bow!] 1. When the apocalypse arrived, Song Ke, who had grown up in the ruins, unexpectedly awakened a superpower. Anything in her field of vision could become a handy spirit weapon with a mere thought. She was the sharpest blade, and now she had the most versatile sheath. Wherever she went, zombies of every kind trembled in fear. After drifting alone for many days, Song Ke came across a troublesome man. He had a broken leg and spoke in a weak, half-dead voice. He looked ready to keel over at any second, yet the corner of his mouth curled in a bewitching smile. “Little miss, I have nothing to repay you with. How about I offer you myself?” Song Ke stared at the suspicious man for two seconds, then slowly summoned her spirit weapon. “G-go ahead. H-how do you want to die?” One strange encounter led to another. From then on, her adventures… went off course? She picked up one bizarre teammate after another. 2. A year after the apocalypse, a bizarre rumor spread through the major survivor bases: They said that every member of the superpower team V587, ranked first on the points leaderboard, was a broad-shouldered, hulking, muscular tough guy who could scare a child to tears. Their name said it all: V587. How mighty and imposing! V587 punched the Zombie King, kicked mutant beasts, broke into the death prison in the City of Sin, and knocked out the notorious administrator of District C with a single move! No matter how difficult the mission, they always cleared it perfectly. Their exploits swept through the Alliance, earning them the worship of countless superpowered fighters. Then the first Global Superpower Challenge kicked off, and all the mysterious members of V587 showed up for the first time. Everyone stared in stunned silence. “Wait, who are these old ones, little ones, sick ones, and two wheelchair-bound cripples? V587? Oh nooooo!” A stuttering powerhouse vs. a smiling schemer [Reader’s Guide] 1. Not a spacefaring story. Set in an imaginary future with a major technological divide: the lower levels are about fifty years ahead of our world. The terms in the story are not based on anything real. 2. Superpowers and cyberpunk, with a plot-focused story and team adventures. 3. It takes a while for the protagonist to find her teammates. The main team has seven members, each with their own flaws. 4. Content warnings are in the author’s note at the end of Chapter One. Theme: Unity is strength.
