After Turning into a Zombie, I Was Adopted by My Ex-Girlfriend

Blurb:

A short story, not for sale as a paid book. Updates whenever.

"My name is Qiao Yu. I'm infected."

Qiao Yu stares at the crooked line of writing on the board and lets out an unhappy groan.

No, no! If I write this, I'll get my head blown off in the next second.

She drops the board and starts searching the disorderly streets. Eventually, she finds a shop that sells helmets.

She picks out the pinkest helmet inside.

Wearing it as she steps outside, Qiao Yu looks at the other infected people on the street, all bareheaded, and laughs smugly. Her laughter is hoarse and unpleasant: What a bunch of idiots! They don't even know to protect their brains!

The next second, a cold, dark barrel is pointed at her head.

Qiao Yu raises both hands above her head and sheepishly surrenders.

The woman doesn't kill her. Instead, she takes her home, gives her food and water, and takes meticulous care of her.

Qiao Yu is being kept by a normal person. At first, she's so nervous that she hugs her helmet everywhere she goes, afraid the woman will get annoyed and put a bullet in her head. But after they spend some time together, Qiao Yu realizes the woman only ever curls a finger and knocks firmly on her helmet. The gun and knife at her waist are never pointed at Qiao Yu again.

Then she discovers something else...

This woman named Yan Nangui seems to be her ex-girlfriend!!!???
