Tan Zhuolin of the Dongfang Star Territory is the daughter of a famous interstellar tycoon, with immense wealth at her disposal.
The two often hang out with the heir to the Xichu Star Territory. Their deep friendship makes everyone else envious.
But the two share a secret: they both like their mutual friend!
Qiu Ciyue believes she is pure and chaste, and clearly a more suitable lover than the vivacious and pleasure-loving Ms. Tan.
Tan Zhuolin, however, thinks Qiu Ciyue is too cold to win anyone's heart. She's good at showing warmth and concern, so she's sure she'll win the beauty's heart.

Then one day, their friend goes missing, and an interstellar war breaks out!
Qiu/Tan: I've finally fallen for someone. I can't just leave her missing and do nothing.
At the time, only the unregulated interstellar pirate ships could travel freely. To find their friend, Qiu Ciyue pulls out every trick in the book to get aboard one of them.
But once the ship sets sail, she discovers that Tan Zhuolin is on board too!
Qiu/Tan: "Can I switch ships right now? Is it too late?"

That year, war breaks out between the Central Star Territory and the Xichu Star Territory. A certain pirate crew emerges from nowhere, ultimately taking control of the battlefield, bringing the war to a "peaceful" end, and welcoming the safe return of the Xichu heir.
Qiu Ciyue and Tan Zhuolin, now leaders of the pirate crew, gaze tearfully at their friend's safe return, then learn that she found a partner while she was missing.
That night, the two sing on the roof of the Duke of Xichu's manor until dawn.
The next day, the Star-Chasing Pirate Crew sets sail once more. At last, they understand that their true love is the sea of stars!
Note: The story is mainly told from Qiu Ciyue's perspective. The two female leads are purely friends, mischievous pals who are always setting each other up.
