The Emperor's Beloved

[Female Lead Version]

From the day she was offered up to the Northern Dynasty, Wei Wan finally understood that her consort, who had always claimed to love and cherish her, was nothing but a heartless man using her to seize the throne.

So she gave up poetry, painting, and literature. With her slender waist wrapped in a sash, she gently and obediently knocked on the door of the imperial study late at night.

Wei Wan knew very well that her beauty was her sharpest weapon.

And the young emperor of the Northern Dynasty would be the dagger she used to exact her revenge.

[Male Lead Version]

Xiao Yi had known from the very beginning that Wei Wan was only using him.

Whoever she wanted to kill or meet, he helped her with it all. He only hoped she would soon leave her hatred behind and see how good he was to her.

But the day she avenged herself, she vanished without a trace.

He nearly went mad, ordering people to search all of Jinling. At last, they found her at the imperial mausoleum of the former dynasty, barely clinging to life.

She seemed to have nothing left to live for. She had taken poison and meant to follow the former dynasty into death, but he dragged her back to life against her will.

"Who are you... and who am I...?"

His little princess opened her eyes again, but remembered nothing.

He paused, then held her tightly, his voice hoarse:

"Wanwan, you are my empress."
