After the Flower God Festival, Lian Chi went to the sacred grounds as usual. He never expected the mud that had always been indifferent to suddenly take human form. Not only did it cling to his leg and act cute, it even tried to climb onto his head!

And as it climbed, the thousand-petaled lotus that had never bloomed finally got pressed open, open, open!

Lian Chi: "!!!"

Little scene:

"Lian Lian, a rainbow lotus has to bloom seven times before it can bear lotus seeds~"

Lian Chi believed him. He never expected that every time, before he could even start producing lotus seeds, someone would eat them first.

Xi Ran said, with absolutely no shame: "You plant a lotus seed in spring, and in spring, spring, spring you'll harvest a whole pond!"

Lian Chi wiped the flower juice from his mouth and picked the golden hairs off his head. "Well, then, whose little flower did you eat, and whose little belly did you rub?"

Xi Ran looked guilty. "Peonies, roses, ink orchids... golden chinchillas, white tigers, huskies... Oh no, Lian Lian, why did you turn into a big green flower again?!"

Lian Chi: "I'm shutting myself away. Do not disturb."

Much later, Xi Ran felt the flower bud on his head and stared in disbelief. "Lian Lian! Why am I blooming?!"

Lian Chi flicked the pink little bud with an unimpressed look. "Maybe because you ate all the lotus seeds I worked so hard to produce?"

Xi Ran: "!"

A few notes:

1. The male lead's true form is a seven-colored lotus with a thousand petals and a color-changing flower center.

2. The female lead's true form is breath soil. Once she has enough spiritual energy, she will grow back to her full size.
