Once inside, you discover that you're trapped in the game.

The rules say you have to get the one and only happy ending to leave this strange game.

In your first playthrough, Suguru Geto inexplicably comes back to life on his own, so you excitedly propose to him, thinking the happy ending is just around the corner.

But after you get married, the game declares that you've reached one of its bad endings.

The second playthrough begins, and you soon understand why you failed the first time:

Suguru Geto, who now has a scar running across his head, has actually had his brain replaced by another sorcerer.

The game rules also tell you that there are ninety-nine more bad endings like this.

You: *chokes up.*

Theme: You just want a sincere relationship.
