In college, Ruan Yunqiao always thought she and Li Yan were only two-tenths familiar.

After graduation, they became strangers.

Ruan Yunqiao only ever saw him on China Central Television.

As ever, he was aloof and refined, saying little and choosing every word carefully.

Until one day, in an interview after a competition, a reporter asked him a gossipy question:

"You're so accomplished. Is there someone you like?"

His teammates knew Li Yan never answered questions like that and were just about to step in for him when he took the microphone and said calmly to the camera, "Yes. Her name is Ruan Yunqiao."

The trending topics exploded.

As her manager looked on in astonishment, Ruan Yunqiao blushed bright red and sent a message to someone who had been lying dormant in her contacts list. It was her first message to him since they broke up:

"I thought we agreed to part on good terms?"
