Red Lips and White Teeth

A mischievous, fussy younger brother who loves cracking jokes x a sensitive, conceited older brother starved for affection

After Li Huaiyu's adoptive mother died, he was sent back to the old alley where he'd once lived. Gu Mingyuan waited for him at the door, still wearing the blue shirt he'd had on three years earlier. It was much too short now, wrinkled and rumpled, and his expression was complicated.

Huaiyu still obediently called him Brother Mingyuan and followed him around like a little shadow. But Mingyuan wouldn't let him sleep in the same bed, hug him around the neck, touch his ears, or cry.

"If I don't cry, will you comfort me? Like you did when we were little?"

"I'll beat you up." Mingyuan rose into the breeze and walked a few steps through the mud before lowering his head and turning back. Huaiyu squinted, unable to see his face clearly, but could feel his breath and warmth drawing closer.

The kiss landed on his eyelid. "But I can't bring myself to."
