[Handsome, solemn, upright crown prince × bright, openhearted, adored beauty]
When they first met, they were simply a man and a woman who both enjoyed fishing, as it happened, at the same pond, spending a leisurely half-day together.
A box of bait and a game of chess linked the composed, dignified gentleman and the bright, carefree young lady. They thought they were merely passersby. He called himself an unknown scholar, while she said she was a traveler with no particular destination.
When they met again, surrounded by lanterns and colorful silks, with fireworks blazing overhead, they discovered that fate had bound them together: Li Zhisi, the crown prince of the current dynasty, and Pei Zhi of the most noble Pei clan.
Born into a great family with a hundred-year history, Pei Zhi had a grandfather who served three emperors and rose to the rank of marquis and chancellor, and a father who was a first-rank general guarding the border. Born noble and raised in love, Pei Zhi lived a carefree life. Through all the twists and turns, only Li Zhisi remained. He could turn the tides of court politics and was accustomed to maneuvering against treacherous officials, but he longed so desperately to spend the rest of his life with her that he feared the palace walls would separate her from the free life she yearned for.
She smiled and took his hand. "I truly do hope to travel across the mountains and rivers, but being with you always makes me happy. I've never had any regrets."
Reader's Guide:
1. Handsome, solemn, upright crown prince × bright, openhearted, adored beauty.
2. One-on-one romance, sexually and emotionally exclusive, sweet story, smooth sailing with no major twists. Neither lead dates under a secret identity.
3. A loving father and filial son, brotherly affection, and a whole cast of supportive wingmen. No nasty family infighting.
4. An alternate history inspired by the Tang era. Please don't nitpick the historical details. The plot serves the romance, thank you.
P.S. I'm writing for fun. All non-malicious discussion is welcome~

[Upright, restrained strategist × radiant, quick-witted sweetheart]
The late emperor died, and the crown prince ascended the throne.
Yu Yuetao and Liu Lin had grown up together amid the morning and evening bells of Chang'an. They had never failed to consider how many great families might rise or fall during this transition from the old regime to the new. But they never imagined this was only the beginning of countless hardships to come for them both.
In the second year of the new emperor's reign, the Liu family was convicted of a crime and sentenced to execution in its entirety. Standing atop the palace steps, the new emperor gazed coldly at Yu Yuetao, who was kneeling outside the Hall of Eternal Life to plead for Liu Lin. His voice was so gentle it was almost false. "Cousin, why put yourself through this?"
She broke off a branch, bent her knees, and knelt there for a long time. At last, she received an order pardoning Liu Lin from execution and exiling him three thousand li to Lingnan.
Outside Chang'an, by the Blue Bridge Post Station, Liu Lin was about to depart. He had only three wishes: first, that Tao might live in peace for the rest of her life; second, that they might meet again someday; and third, that his family's wrongful conviction would one day be cleared.
As they clasped hands to part, Yu Yuetao said with unwavering conviction, again and again, "A Lin, I'll save you."
Liu Lin brushed away the tears in the corner of her eye.
He gazed back at the Chang'an of old. When the spring wind rose again, they would usher in a new and peaceful world.
Theme: Love and growing old together.
It's been a long time since I've seen such a pure, clean and heart-warming love story. There's no bloody misunderstanding, cruelty, robbery, and misunderstanding. There are only two very cute and kind people who sincerely love and stay with each other. The writing is very delicate, and the tone is a touch of sadness with warm hope. After all, beautiful things always make people worry about gains and losses, and it is true that this simple beauty can only be felt in the story [Panda Head]
In fact, I have never been very fond of writing reviews. I just blindly pick out one good story after another to pass the time. Although I am often moved by many novels, I only treat them as entertainment and do not think about my feelings. But after catching up on "Envy in All Directions" and finishing reading "The Moon Is Still Bright", I suddenly wanted to say something. I was attracted by the author's gentle words. The story written with such gentle words is so clean, so ideal, and as beautiful as a utopia. There is no need to rely on bloody misunderstandings, vicious supporting characters, or forced sadomasochism to advance the plot, and there are no complex structures or plot designs that can show the author's writing power. But I think this is the strength of Teacher Xi Zhongyu's writing - believing that tenderness is established and worth writing, and treating the characters in his writings so tenderly. Saw the one-sentence introduction of "The Moon Is Still Bright" is "a sweet story simmered slowly and slowly", and I feel that the description is very appropriate. Perhaps writing a story in such words is not very pleasing at the beginning. "Slowly simmering" is precisely the most difficult rhythm to write. Just like when I first read "Envy in All Directions", I always felt a little impetuous. But after reading that book, I have become accustomed to the author. Use slow and slow brushwork to lay out the emotions, so in the process of reading, it seems to be slowly immersed in the breath of the characters, and then in many casual moments, you are suddenly hit by a long-lasting warmth - it is good to simmer slowly over low heat, and there are all kinds of emotions. As a reader, I am not good at discussing the development of storylines and analyzing characters. This is probably why I don't leave many comments. Even if I do, they are relatively short, hahaha, and they don't look very literate, but whether I am watching "Envy of the Four Directions" or "The Moon Is Still Bright", every short and sometimes meaningless comment was sincerely replied by Teacher Xi Zhongyu. At that time, I thought that the author must cherish her readers. I may be a perceptual reader, but these two books resonated with me very much, especially the first half of Floating Moon, so I deeply lamented that Teacher Xi Zhongyu's first book was so inspiring. She replied to me that this book is not yet a mature work. Teacher Xi Zhongyu probably looked at it from the perspective of technique. Indeed, I could see some immature aspects later on. However, when I read "Floating Moon", what I felt more was another thing: the warmth of the writing style, the bones of the characters, and the person behind the words. I got a glimpse of the author's gentle soul. I will not always remember what a good story tells, but I remember the souls of A Zhi and Yuan, and the soul behind the words. She loves her words and the characters she writes so much. After seeing the sincere words in the final chapter, I realized that my feeling was correct. The author said: "Writing is the outlet for my soul." There is also a new language that is more straightforward and unreserved: "I love writing very much. It is also because my soul has also found its outlet in the cracks of the world." When I was reading Little Bright Moon, I actually seemed to have some inspiration, because I once thought about writing novels, but I didn't seem to have much talent in this area. I can write prose and poetry, but when it came to trying to write novels, I felt like my aura was like a dry well. I only had a moment of inspiration, I couldn't narrate, I didn't understand, and I didn't know how to create a story. But when I read Little Bright Moon, I saw the author's eloquent narrative. It suddenly occurred to me that maybe each of us can find our own way of expression. You just need to write what you love, in the way you are best at. Teacher Xi Zhongyu's way of telling stories is special. I don't think it is similar to any other author. I think it is the way she sees the world, her ideal way of expression, and a part of the author's true self. I have written so much without realizing it (although I seem to have just talked about my feelings, nothing related to the content of this article hhh). This is my first long review, dedicated to Teacher Xizhongyu Xiao Jiaoyue. I am very lucky to be moved by this novel. Perhaps I can say more shamelessly that I am very lucky to meet the author, and I see a person who insists on "clean" and "slow cooking" in the fictional world. Your words resonate with my soul. I hope that Teacher Xizhongyu will continue to write and always maintain his love for writing. I look forward to you writing more and better stories~ (p. S. Finally, I want to ask the teacher if Xiao Jiaoyue can have a side story [Cat Head])
This is too clear (ο?????????ο?????????), As expected, meat is the soul of romance novels.
Such a gentle style, it feels light when you look at it and it seems to stay deeply in your heart. So happy
