The Foodie Is a Master of Farming and Cooking

This was written before I signed a contract. I was still rather inexperienced back then, so I abandoned it halfway through. After thinking it over again and again, I've decided to lock the entire work. I'll start a new story and see it through properly once I can write something better.

Does a life really count as a life if you never transmigrate even once? The World Transmigration Bureau's answer was: For everyone else, yes. For Jiang Yu, no.

Forced to transmigrate overnight, Jiang Yu was lucky that her new parents were kind and healthy, and that a "heaven-sent general" showed up to serve as another pair of hands. It all sounded wonderful...

Except it wasn't!

On her first day after transmigrating, her father said solemnly, "We've already sold the only old sow in our family for some extra money to help make ends meet."

No, no, no! Poverty is bearable, but hunger isn't! And going without meat is even more unbearable!

But every beginning is difficult.

Fortunately, the World Transmigration Bureau felt guilty and gave her an all-purpose farming System.

[Congratulations, Master! Your high-efficiency fertilizer has been successfully redeemed.]

[Congratulations, Master! Your rice will be ready to harvest in seven days.]

[The vegetable-growing and chicken-raising modes have been unlocked. You're just one step away from success, Master.]

How naive! A foodie will never be satisfied with farming alone.

Later, she made a name for herself in the backwater with the home-style dishes she cooked. There was nothing people could imagine that she couldn't make.

Golden, soft, handmade rice cakes; crispy roast suckling pig with fragrant skin and tender meat; nourishing mushroom and chicken soup... In her hands, even a simple tomato and egg stir-fry became something extraordinary.

The passersby wiped their drooling mouths and snapped up every last dish. "Enough talk! We'll take them all!"

Jiang Yu: "Hey! Stop grabbing! Save some for me!"
