I Became a High-Risk Concubine

In his previous life, Qi Fengchi was a medical-school student. In this life, he opened his eyes and found himself in the Imperial Medical Academy of Liang again. In his previous life, he'd battled unreasonable patients. In this life, he spent every day kneeling on the floor and listening to the old emperor and the crown prince bicker. "If you can't cure my beloved dog, I'll have the entire Imperial Medical Academy buried with you!" After years of diligently doing his job, someone still accused Imperial Physician Qi Fengchi of having an affair with a concubine. To save his own neck, Qi Fengchi immediately dropped to his knees with a thud. Qi Fengchi: I, I, I... I'm attracted to men, and I've already fallen for someone. I have kept myself pure for him. I could never have an affair with a concubine, Your Majesty! The old emperor raised an eyebrow. "And who is it that Physician Fengchi has fallen for?" Qi Fengchi: I, I, I, I like the crown prince! Crown Prince Xiao Chiyan was violent by nature, yet exceptionally handsome. He hated homosexuality more than anything, and had many a eunuch who had feelings for him sent out of the palace. Qi Fengchi thought that if he knocked his head on the ground, he could pack up and leave afterward. But three days later, the old emperor issued an imperial decree, bestowing him upon the crown prince as a consort. Xiao Chiyan was reasonably gracious about the old emperor's gift, and a bright red bridal sedan carried Qi Fengchi through the main gate of the crown prince's residence. On their wedding night, Qi Fengchi sat restlessly beneath his red veil. It was only when Xiao Chiyan lifted it that he could relax. Xiao Chiyan: I hear you avoid women and only have eyes for me. Is that true? Qi Fengchi nodded through his tears. Xiao Chiyan: I hear the imperial physician spends every day researching ways to strengthen my health. Is that true? Qi Fengchi, thinking to himself: Weren't you the one who said you'd have me buried with the others if I couldn't cure you? Xiao Chiyan: Your devotion is so sincere. How could I let it go unrequited? On this fine wedding night, I'll make sure you never forget it. Qi Fengchi, unable to explain himself, consoled himself: I may not be able to keep my virtue, but at least little Fengchi is still safe...
