Trying Hard to Act a Little More Obedient Today

Blurb One: When Yan Yan graduated from university, her family was hit by a sudden disaster. Both her parents died, and business rivals and various relatives all circled like vultures, hoping to grab a share and take a bite out of the Yan family's fortune.

Unable to do anything right, but a champion at eating, drinking, and having fun, Yan Yan decided to pretend to be a well-behaved girl and find herself a backer.

She immediately set her sights on Ji Qingzhou, the son of one of her late father's old friends. He was handsome and capable. Most importantly, he was said to be uninterested in women, and his job kept him stationed overseas for most of the year. He was practically the perfect tool!

Blurb Two: When Ji Qingzhou was still in school, he aspired to contribute to his country's diplomatic service. After graduating, he worked diligently and devoted himself to his job, becoming the old bachelor his mother said would never find a wife.

One day, his mother suddenly found him a young bride and told him to come home and get married immediately.

When Ji Qingzhou met the young woman, she was as docile as a little rabbit, not at all his type. Under pressure from his family, he solemnly laid down three rules: He would help her resolve her troubles, and she would pretend to be his wife for one year. After that, they would divorce.

The young woman nodded and agreed, looking dejected.

Little Scene: A few days before the divorce, Yan Yan was so happy that she couldn't resist temptation and let herself go early, heading to a bar in a tight black camisole.

There, she ran into her husband, who was supposed to be working out of town. The striking difference between her usual self and her current behavior caught his attention, and in her befuddled state, she ended up sleeping with him.

The next morning, Yan Yan woke up and frantically asked for help online: [It's a business marriage, and my husband thinks I'm a well-behaved girl, but I'm actually rebellious. I just got caught out online. What do I do?]

A commenter replied: [Sleep with him and drag him into this with you.]

Yan Yan: [I already did...]

Commenter: [All right, everyone, move along. The poster's just here to show off her romance.]

P.S. The inspiration for this story came from a line I saw online: "I spent my whole life discussing China-US relations with Kissinger, the world system with Wallerstein, and only you with you."
