Chasing the Wind at Dawn: Heartbeat

The day she returned to the old courtyard to pack her things,

Ji Xiangrui and Shi Jian had the biggest argument of their lives.

Shi Jian, who should have been at training, suddenly appeared. Without a word, he unlocked Ji Xiangrui's room with his key.

After tossing a photo with a decorative border onto her bed, he blocked the doorway. "Why pretend to be so well-behaved?"

The girl wasn't moved, and looked nothing like the sweetly smiling girl in the photo.

Holding her luggage, she threw a tantrum and said, "Let me leave."

Shi Jian kept his temper in check, though a storm was brewing.

He slowly stepped closer, his expression darkening. "I've spoiled you all this time for nothing, haven't I?"

Ji Xiangrui ignored him and turned to leave with an air of authority.

That night, Ji Xiangrui got drunk and posted a status in a haze: [I'm so sad. Turns out life with a partner can be miserable too.]

A few seconds later, a comment appeared below: [Bullshit. Am I not sweet?]
