The Cats in My Game Keep Scamming Me

[Description of the upcoming story, A Romance Game Where You Can't Get a Bad Ending, below. Please add it to your collection! =v=]

[Have you ever thought about joining a group of cats cuddling together for warmth?]

[Have you ever thought about taking on missions as a cat, dashing across rooftops in all kinds of settings?]

[Have you ever thought about being a cat and petting another sleek, glossy-furred cat?]

[If your answer to all of the above is yes, then...]

[The immersive online game Cat Tales welcomes you!]

As a certified cat lover, Mashu answered yes to every question above, and the game appeared on her desktop.

Even better, she was lucky enough to draw the rare physique "SSR: Special Catnip."

Mashu, now a calico cat, entered the game without carefully reading the details of her physique. "Yay!"

+

On the first day, a long, slender white Persian cat perched on a robot vacuum pretended to get hurt right in front of her.

On the second day, a Japanese bobtail with russet fur suddenly appeared, then promptly fell over in front of her.

On the third day, a silver, curly-haired cat lying under the sofa and picking its nose pretended to get hurt right in front of her.

On the Nth day, Mashu was happily bouncing between cats who pretended to be hurt, enjoying all the cat cuddles, when a System notification suddenly appeared.

[Warning! Since entering the game, the player has been far too laid-back. Main and side quest progress remains at zero. Forced quest mode is now activated!]

[Quest One: Pull the bun off the black cat with a topknot.]

[Time limit: One day]

[Failure penalty: A pile of catnip falling from the sky]

Mashu looked up. The black cat with the topknot, who was curled up against her belly, lowered its head and gently licked her face.

Description of A Romance Game Where You Can't Get a Bad Ending

[Started January 3, 2022]

As a gaming enthusiast, Tang Yuan couldn't help unlocking the [Complete Collection] trait.

But in her newly acquired full-dive game, Doki Doki Love Memories, the bad-ending CGs for a few romance options always remained locked.

After loading her save more than a dozen times without success, Tang Yuan angrily turned to the forums for help.

[Your lover approaches against the light, stepping over rubble. He calmly brushes away what looks like dust from his suit. You can't make out his face, but you notice the conspicuous bloodstains on his dress shoes.]

["Tch, you actually found this place. Five minutes... No, I'll be right back."]

["Wait here for me. Hmm?"]

[What will you do?]

[A. Understand and wait where you are. B. Sensing danger, pretend to agree, then leave through the front door. C. Sensing danger, pretend to agree, then leave through the back door.]

Forum users: C! You'll run into your lover while he's out of his mind, unlocking the true bad-ending CG, "A Setting Sun Drenched in Endless Blood."

Tang Yuan stared at the happy-ending CG she'd just unlocked, "A Hemline Rising to the Sound of an Explosion," and fell into deep thought.
