Snake Sacrifice: Wandering Between Falsehood and Truth

Seeking power to survive. Seeking power to live forever. Orochimaru spent his whole life alone. Only power and his insatiable desire for it kept him company. In the end, it was power and that same greed that destroyed him. Tragic, ridiculous, hateful. Helplessly, the River of Forgetfulness, its waters steeped in the dreams of the dead, surges onward. It sweeps up those who lose their way in the Forest of the Underworld and stumble into its waters, carrying them off in its roaring current. Then the dead devour them, leaving them without redemption. But he doesn't need redemption! Not the hypocritical kind that left him battered, forced him to scrape by, and let others toy with him.
