[Doushi Xiaoshu Fanwork | Sentinel-Guide] Choker

Choker

* choke means to suffocate; a choker is something that suffocates you

* Sentinel-guide setting, with many original additions.

* Pairing: Tang Xiaoyi x original female lead Nan Cen

Blurb:

Nineteen-year-old Nan Cen is about to graduate from the guide trainee program when the Tower assigns her a mission: bond with the sentinel Tang Xiaoyi.

Rumor has it that Tang Xiaoyi is lawless and loves picking fights. His conduct has been so bad that his graduation has been postponed for two years. Now he's been locked up for getting into a fight.

No one thinks they'll work out. People whisper and speculate about how it will end. Will they part on bad terms, or will they part on bad terms after hurting each other? Poor Nan Cen, such a promising young guide, thrown away to the mad dog's mercy. Of course, some people say, what if a miracle happens? What if Tang Xiaoyi turns over a new leaf and takes his duties as a sentinel seriously?

After they confirm their bond, he does take his duties as a sentinel seriously, but only when it comes to "confirming their bond."

Because Nan Cen says, "Ours is only a pseudo-bond."

- If life is an endless fall, then I will stay by your side until the very end.

- Through mountains of blades and seas of fire, through heaven and hell, I'll go with you.

This is not a story about healing each other or keeping each other warm.

Two flawed people struggle to love each other. In a sense, they also fall in love with ease.

The sentinel-guide setting is the foundation of the world, but does not fully follow the original setup. There are many original additions. The setting serves the story itself.
